Entrance Tests 2011

Entrance & Classification Tests

for 2011 Year 9 Entrants

The dates have now been set for the 2010 Entrance and Scholarship Tests, for those wishing to enter the College in Year 9, 2011. They are:

Monday, 26 April Entrance and Classification Tests
Tuesday, 27 April Academic Scholarship Examinations

All applicants will write the tests in the Great Hall at the College.

All those wishing to be considered for a Year 9 place at King’s College in 2011 must sit the Entrance Tests. Only those boys applying for an Academic Scholarship need sit the Scholarship Examinations.

Auditions for Year 9 Music Scholarships will be held on the afternoons of 26 & 27 May.

We will be offering 165 places for Year 9 students next year: 95 Day and 70 Boarding.
We hope to be able to confirm offers by 01 June 2010.

Entrance Test performance is one of the five selection criteria we use; the other four being previous family connections with the College, date of application, the all-round strengths of each applicant as revealed by the interview process and a very good academic report in terms of attitude, behaviour and commitment in the classroom.

Interviews
All applicants are required to be interviewed and we would like to complete all of these by the end of April. If your son has not yet been interviewed, please book a time by phoning

Mrs Grace Switzer on (09) 276 0613.
