Marking of Clothing

Parents are asked to ensure that all clothing and property are clearly marked. Unmarked property can cause endless time and trouble for teachers, matrons and pupils and we would be grateful for parents’ assistance in this matter.

Name Labels

These can be ordered from Mark-it Woven Labels – printed labels. Iron-on labels can be ordered from Name It (www.nameit.co.nz) It is recommended that at least 200 labels are ordered (day boys may require fewer), and of these 50 are given to the boarding house Matron at the beginning of the year.

THE FOLLOWING ARTICLES ARE TO BE MARKED WITH LABELS SECURELY SEWN OR IRONED ON AS INDICATED:

Shirts, football jerseys, tracksuits, blazers, singlets, nightwear (inside centre back of collar band)
Shorts – including sports, trousers, underpants: (centre back of the waist)
Towels: (on each end diagonally opposite)
Coats: (on the neckband and inside the right hand sleeve, under the arm)
