Musician-in-Residence
In 2005, King's College led the way to be the first (and only) school in New Zealand to offer an International Musician-in-Residence programme. This features an internationally-known musician who stays for two weeks at the College and coaches students in their discipline. Recent musicians have included Matteo Napoli (Piano professor, Palermo Conservatoire) Emil Chudnovsky (Violin Professor, Mannes College of Music, Washington DC) and Rodger Fox and the Rodger Fox Big Band, (Jazz Trombonist, NZ School of Music). Masterclasses and tuition is open to the public.
