In years 9 and 10 all students are all taught the three Sciences, Biology, Physics and Chemistry. 

In Year 11 students may choose to study single Sciences at CIE level or they can choose a more general science course at NCEA level. 

Science – Year 11

NCEA Level 1 Science is offered to Year 11 students who intend pursuing the NCEA pathway as opposed to CIE.

This course leads onto NCEA Level 2 Science, NCEA Level 2 Physics & NCEA Level 2 Biology
in Year 12,

In 2010, the course offers a total of 24 credits.

There are 3 internal assessments and 3 external assessments.

In 2010, this course offers a total of 24 credits.

There are 4 internal assessments and 3 external assessments.

Science – Year 13

In 2010, this course offers a total of 24 credits.

There are 3 internal assessments and 3 external assessments.

In year 12 & 13 Science, there are 3 specialist teachers: 

Mr B Sapsworth, teaches the Physics section of the course;

Mr A Massey, teaches the Chemistry section of the course;

Ms A Gibbs, teaches the Biology section of the course
