King's Debaters Out-perform Christ's College
Last Friday, the King's Senior Debating Team  won the annual clash in Christchurch.

The team of Richard Monigatti, Sam Poole and Tom Richards travelled to Christchurch to debate against Christ's College in the annual
clash. King's argued the negative, debating the moot, "A Small Government is a good Government'. All three King's debaters had excellent performances against a strong
Christ's team, which consisted of a member of the Canterbury team and a 15-year-old 7th former who has skipped two years and is off to University next
year.

At assembly this morning, team captain, Sam Poole, presented the Demosthenes Trophy to the school.

The team and coach, Ms Bentley would like to thank Mr Johnston who gave them a lot of help on the economic aspects of this moot.

This win marks three in a row for Ms Bentley as coach of the King's Debating Team, which shows outstanding leadership in debating.
