King's Soloist Performed Admirably

William Yaxley (Year 10, St Johns) represented the school very well in his solo work with 'Elijah' with Bach Musica on the Sunday after Term 2 finished. He sang wearing his Chapel Choir robes and in the second half was able to sit in
the audience and wore his King's No 1 uniform.

The conductor was very, very pleased with his performance and he sang to a full Cathedral in Parnell, in the company of New Zealand's top soloists.

William also passed his Royal Schools of Music singing exam with distinction last term so he has done very well, especially considering his other musical involvements, let alone his academic work.
