Almost 800 King’s College students and their friends gathered at Eden Park’s ASB Lounge for the annual winter ball. The venue was transformed with excellent décor portraying the time of Prohibition, complete with feather boas and multi-media displays of music and movies from the 1920s.

Student awards were presented on the night to:

Princess- Claudia Stevens

There were also many joke awards including:
Cutest Couple- Sam Henwood and Clare Findlay
Best Dressed to Theme- Nicole Lawton and Duncan Tweed
Spader- Duncan Cunninghame
Spadee- Nina Manning
Skux- Tom Urry
Skuxess- Jamie McDell
Orange Award- George Shand and Charlotte Eddowes

Congratulations and thanks go to the organising committee of Year 13 students (pictured below) including: James Mckelvie, Giles Cox, Sam Poole, Sam Morris, Elizabeth Faris, Poppy Flynn, Emily Peacock and Nicola Atkinson. The Teacher-in-charge was Mr Grant McKibbin and College Event Co-ordinator was Mr John Powell.

The next ball on the College calendar is for Year 13 graduates and their parents at Sky City on Friday 04 December. This will be another event not to be missed!
